London West - Uxbridge

PwC's Uxbridge office - with 400 employees, including 35 partners and directors, as well as around 80 trainees - is new, modern and well-equipped, with a contemporary, open-plan environment, ensuring a friendly atmosphere and encouraging strong networks between our different teams. Facilities include a café and an onsite health club run by Fitness First.

Our trainees hail from far and wide - some have moved to the south east after graduating, others are natives of London and the surrounding areas, while we also have some overseas students. The office is highly diverse; we play host to secondees from around the PwC global firm - we've recently hosted colleagues from France, Italy, Switzerland, the US, Canada, Australia, South Africa and Malaysia, amongst others. Conversely - and crucially from a career perspective - many of our own employees take up the opportunity for overseas secondments themselves. We currently have people working in Canada, the US, Moscow and Australia.

Our unique business within PwC

There are now more European corporate head offices within the Uxbridge area than in the whole of Scotland, Wales and N. Ireland put together. PwC is the only “Big Four” firm in the area and the Uxbridge office has established relationships.
The dynamic Thames Valley region is the No.1 location outside of London for foreign-owned businesses. That’s why PwC Uxbridge provides a “US Centre of Excellence”, a one-stop facility for companies with US parents or dealings with the States. Knowledge of US accountancy frameworks can also open career doors worldwide.

Clients - who are mainly located in West London and the east of the Thames Valley - come from sectors as diverse as technology, construction, retail, and transport and logistics. They include a sizeable and growing number of clients who are family-owned businesses and private entrepreneurs through to global household names.

Our Assurance practice contributes significantly to the growth of the office - in fact, alone, it ranks as one of the largest accountancy practices in the South East. In addition, we provide a full range of PwC services, including Tax, Transaction Services, Risk Assurance Services, Business Recovery Services and Human Resources Services. We're focused on high growth for each of our teams - meaning exciting opportunities for students who join us, especially as the region within which we operate is such a dynamic place to be at the moment.

In the past six years PwC at Uxbridge has created 10 new partners and nine new directors, and brought in five new partners. The office currently has 23 partners and 15 directors, and a staff-list approaching 500.

Being able to explore different areas of our business through the One Firm Graduate Experience that was pioneered in Uxbridge provides graduates with a breadth of skills while they're training - giving them the perfect platform from which to find their niche, identify their areas of talent and interest, learn career-enhancing skills and work in specialist areas.

A busy social scene

The size of our office means there's always something going on for staff to enjoy. From regular team nights out to sky-diving for charity, from football and netball tours to comedy nights, the social scene in PwC Uxbridge is thriving. We have our own sports and social committee that organises themed events, as well as the annual ball and sports day.

PwC fundraising also assists Brunel University’s Urban Scholars Programme, a scheme for gifted and talented children who, for various reasons, may not be fulfilling their potential at school.

Why wait?

Despite our success already, the growth opportunities for our office are phenomenal. That's why joining PwC in Uxbridge makes great sense for students who want to be close enough to London to enjoy the lifestyle of the capital - but still enjoy the atmosphere of working in a regional office. The mix of clients, from owner-managed business to big-brand household names, will provide superb experience.

Our blend of clients and our office culture give you best of all worlds.
