Glasgow

Our warm and friendly Glasgow office provides a great working atmosphere. With 350 staff and 18 partners, it's one of PwC's larger offices - with a diverse workforce, including students from France and India. We also have secondees here from New Zealand and Hungary, attracted by the exposure to challenging work available in Scotland's principle city of business.

Clients across the board

Our clients include companies in traditional Glaswegian industries such as manufacturing, engineering and construction, as well as transportation, energy and mining, and more recently developing sectors such as technology and pharmaceuticals. We also work with a number of public and not-for-profit organisations.

And with the development of the city as a financial services centre - including a purpose-built International Financial Services District - we're building a strong financial services portfolio, and the sector is seen as a prime growth area, with clients in banking, stockbroking, investment management and pensions.

Work-life balance

The office enjoys a wide range of sporting and social events, where our team members can really get to know each other out of working hours. There are regular nights out, awaydays and the glamorous annual ball, as well as annual golf days and sports team tours - PwC's offices in Scotland run their own programme, 'Force for Good', which supports the firm's community affairs agenda. We've held a World Environment Day event and participated in the Barnardo's Store Wars; we stage an annual charity Christmas fayre and are this year staging the PwC charity pantomime. We also support staff who wish to take on more corporate and social responsibility activities under their own steam, such as volunteering, blood donation and working with the Scottish Woodland Trust.

With an enormous variety of work, as well as exciting, 'big brand' clients and a friendly, sociable atmosphere, Glasgow is a first-choice office for many trainees.
