The Cardiff office - with some 250 staff is based close to the University, at the heart of the city centre and a short distance from Cardiff Bay. Around half of our staff come from Wales and the surrounding area, with the rest coming from other UK locations and a few from overseas.
We have a long history serving clients in Wales. Wales is an important hub for business with some of the UK's most important companies based in the area. The public sector is also an important sector to the Welsh economy with the Welsh Assembly Government based in Wales and many other local government, health and education sector organisations.
The diversity of the Welsh economy is reflected in our client portfolio. We deliver an exceptionally wide range of services from our offices in Wales but are also able to draw on a pool of expertise both nationally and internationally which enables us to provide our clients with the breadth and depth of service they expect.
We provide a wide range of services, including Assurance, Financial Advisory and Tax, with a growing Corporate Finance practice. Looking forward, our Risk Assurance Services and Transaction Services are continuing to expand - meaning we can provide a huge range of opportunities for students and graduates to gain wide exposure and build solid experience.
The Cardiff office is nothing if not social - and we organise a host of social and sporting events for our staff. We have an annual summer ball - which is quite an occasion - and we've staged group away days that involve a variety of fun team building activities!
There are regular departmental meals and staff from the various lines of service are invited to attend a regular internal networking event at the end of each month, where they can enjoy a social drink with colleagues and meet new people.
On the sporting front, there is currently a 5-aside football team who meet twice a week and a team of staff have also try-ed their hand at touch rugby! Staff are always keen to participate in internal sporting tournaments and the Cardiff office is also home to a number of golf enthusiasts!
Our office is an enthusiastic participant in PwC's community affairs agenda, with various charitable events where teams work together to give something back to the community. Over the 12 months a team of volunteers have been working with two local schools as part of a voluntary reading programme. This has proved highly successful to all parties involved and will continue during the next academic year.
With plenty of beautiful countryside and outdoor activities close by, Cardiff itself is fantastic place to live and work. Add in a diverse client base, with opportunities to gain early responsibility in a regional office where you'll quickly get to know everyone - and make good friends as well as work colleagues - we believe PwC in Cardiff is a top choice for ambitious students and graduate who want to enjoy coming to work every day.
