They have to think strategically - with an eye for opportunities that will define efficient outcomes, and make or save money for our clients.
Our clients are demanding - with millions or even billions at stake, our advice - the advice you could eventually be providing - is always absolutely critical.
Typically, you'll work as part of small, highly focused project teams on anything from:
- advising on the merger of two businesses
- preparing a client for an initial public offering (IPO) to the stock market
- advising private and public sector clients on Public Private Partnerships or Project Finance transactions.
The project manager will rely on you for effective support from start to finish. Your responsibilities might include:
- researching data as part of an investment valuation
- preparing vital information for reports or meetings
- conducting modelling exercises for the long-term deal structuring.
We’re always on the look-out for new Corporate Finance business opportunities ourselves, whether with existing or new clients. So you might also be gathering information for a pitch - or even taking part in a pitch presentation. We’ll always encourage you to develop an instinct for business opportunities and to build a network both within and outside the firm to help you do so.
