PwC Ukraine to cooperate with the Football Federation of Ukraine

On 8 October PwC Ukraine starts a consulting project to introduce some improvements in the governance structure of the Football Federation of Ukraine.

“The newly appointed management of the FFU decided to apply a systematic and consistent approach to organisational changes, in particular to involve a world-famed consultant to implement these changes based on its relevant professional background and world experience of peer organisations in those European countries, where football organisations show the highest efficiency rates”, commented Dmytro Nechytailo, PwC Ukraine Senior Manager.

PwC has an unparalleled experience of working with sport associations and clubs of Czech Republic, Scotland, Romania, Switzerland and England. At the club level PwC provided services to such famous teams as Chelsea, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Arsenal (England), Bordeaux, Marseille, PSG (France), Espanyol (Spain), Juventus (Italy), St. Gallen (Switzerland) etc. Currently, the firm is an official service provider to the Organising Committee for the Sochi 2014 Olympic Games.

Valuable European expertise and in-depth knowledge of local industry as well as high professional skills of the team drove the FFU will to engage PwC Ukraine in running this project.

The project will be implemented in several stages. At the first stage PwC will initially analyse the Federation structure, its production processes, performance of its units, and review the KPIs, staff list and decision-making system of the FFU. The next stage will be the detailed study and knowledge capture of international experience. It was pre-agreed to get an insight into the national associations of England, France and Germany. Spain and Italy may be then added to this list.

At the final stage PwC will provide its recommendations on the best practice governance cases, identify organisational quick wins and develop an implementation plan of long-term changes to reach a new highly effective governance system.
