DTEK has started the introduction of SAP comprehensive software. At the first stage, which will last till late 2010, SAP HCM (Human Capital Management) and SAP BI/BPC (Business Intelligence/Business Planning and Consolidation) solutions will be introduced at DTEK’s corporate centre and a comprehensive SAP ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system will be implemented at Pavlogradugol. The Company is planning to complete the introduction of SAP business solutions at all its enterprises in 2013.

It is a unique project for Ukraine in terms of its scale and timelines. Thanks to its implementation a single information management system will unite DTEK’s coal mining and energy enterprises located in three regions of Ukraine. The introduction of SAP solutions will make it possible to tackle the management tasks more efficiently, unify business processes within the DTEK Group, ensure better transparency of operations, and provide timely and reliable management reporting.

The solutions of SAP, a world leader of business applications, have been widely used in the Central and Western Europe. The integration of these solutions into DTEK’s information systems architecture has become an important task in the Company’s business strategy, which provides for active movement to European markets in the middle term and, thus, requires bringing the management systems in line with world practices.

Introduction of SAP business solutions at DTEK’s enterprises is an indicator of our growth; it shows that the company has reached a certain maturity level. Today, DTEK faces the task to consolidate its success, enhance its competitive advantages, and create a stable IT-framework for further company’s expansion’, commented Sergey Detyuk, Deputy CFO on IT in DTEK.

The Ukrainian company CONIM has become DTEK’s consulting partner in the project on SAP implementation.

PricewaterhouseCoopers will design a project office structure for DTEK and control the quality of the project on SAP ERP implementation at Pavlogradugol at the stage of concept design and system testing.
