The Conference organized by Kyiv Post and East Europe Foundation took place on 26-27th of November in Kyiv and gathered together senior executives, influential policymakers, experts and representatives of all major companies that are doing business in Ukraine or are looking at operating in the country.
The event was aimed to get realistic understanding of the economical, political and social perspectives for Ukraine, country that having such a bright potential has only yet to take its rightful place in the world’s community. The conference focused on practical strategies for national progress and suggested the pragmatic political action needed to move the country forward. It explored how business can play a more pivotal role in Ukraine’s inevitable emergence. The conference also reviewed the experience and reform efforts of the countries, which in recent years have made significant economic breakthrough: Malaysia, Georgia, Poland, Korea. Mikheil Saakashvili, President of Georgia was invited as a special guest.
Being the speaker of the panel on Finance and corporate Governance, John Campbell, partner with PwC Ukraine, provided insight into corporate governance issues, trends and implications and shared his experience with participants.
