A large number of leading local entrepreneurs and high profile sponsors made the Kommersant Publishing House Awards ceremony one of the major events in 2012.

The Businessman of the Year Award was established in 2010. Since then it became the highest recognition of the country's best entrepreneurs. The awards ceremony was hosted by Ukraine for the first time and instantly got into the spotlight of prominent business leaders.

As the official consultant of the Award, PwC Ukraine counted the jury votes to designate the winners of the contest. Such a partnership was the key to fair voting and strict counting criteria. The results were announced on the floor a few seconds after PwC Ukraine Director Dmytro Hrynchyshyn handed over the envelope with the names of the winners.
