PwC MSV Conference 2010

(19/2009)

In response to the global economic slowdown, tax authorities around the world are doing their utmost to protect their tax revenues and are becoming more vigilant in rooting out abusive tax practices. There are also increasing calls from the international community for greater transparency and more international cooperation in curbing all harmful tax practices. Current circumstances have thus made managing potential exposure to tax controversies more pertinent than ever. Planning ahead and continuous monitoring could ease any uncertainties that may arise, especially as your businesses evolve and change.

Our 11th annual Tax and Legal conference, Redefining Success: Managing Tax through Turbulent Times will focus on recent developments which indicate that the tax management environment is more challenging, and discuss the responses that corporations can consider when facing these challenges. This year’s one-day conference brings together an experienced team of tax and legal professionals to discuss a range of tax issues and associated subjects that may affect businesses in Thailand.

The conference’s main session, the PwC Tax Panel, will provide an update on the challenges and opportunities of the coming year. We will discuss the potential impact on your business, insight into what can be expected during the current turbulent times, and the tools you need as a business leader to manage taxation issues.

Following the main session will be a number of breakout sessions in which our topic experts will share their experience, give technical tips on tax issues and provide practical advice on how to manage expected and unexpected events. Participants can sign up for six breakout sessions of their choice.  Please refer to the enrolment form for details.

Both clients and non-clients are welcome to join this event. The conference is scheduled to take place on 12 November, 2009 in the Grand Ballroom, Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok.

Please note that the conference will be conducted in Thai and English. Please refer to enrolment form for the language of each session.
