Ministry of Finance request on Customs Issues

After some concerns expressed by the business community, The Deputy Minister of Finance has requested that certain business representatives, including the American Chamber of Commerce, provide recommendations about how the Ministry of Finance may help to improve services provided by the Customs Department. PwC is helping provide feedback from the business community, and drafting a response to the Ministry as part of an AMCHAM iniative, with the support of the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce

We would be grateful for any comments on

* key issues you face in your dealings with the Customs Department (e.g. audit disputes, lack of rulings, clearance delays, denial of Certificate of Origin)
* Practical suggestions on how to improve those dealings
* Any other observations or comments.
