1. Energy saving and alternative energy related businesses which are:
a. Activity 1.26: Manufacture of alcohol or fuel from agricultural products
b. Activity 4.24: Manufacture of energy-conserving machinery or equipment or manufacture of
machinery or equipment which uses alternative energy
c. Activity 4.25: Manufacture of fuel cells
d. Activity 4.26: Manufacture of engine, machinery, and accessories for Natural Gas Vehicles (NGV)
e. Activity 4.27: Assembly of Natural Gas Vehicles NGV – for buses or large size trucks
f. Activity 5.5.24: Manufacture of solar cells
g. Activity 7.1.1: Production of electricity or steam power
h. Activity 7.29: NGV service stations

2. High technology businesses which are:
a. Activity 3.1: Manufacture of textile products or parts - Functional Fiber
b. Activity 3.9: Manufacture of medical supplies or medical equipment
c. Activity 3.14: Manufacture of scientific equipment
d. Activity 4.2: Manufacture of machinery and equipment – Transmission for tractor
e. Activity 4.7: Manufacture or repair of aircraft, including parts or onboard equipment
f. Activity 4.8: Manufacture of vehicle parts
i) Automatic Transmission
ii) CVT Transmission (Continuously Variable Transmission)
iii) Traction Motor for automobile, such as, Hybrid or Fuel Cell automobile
iv) Electronic Stability Control (ESC)
v) Regenerative Braking System
g. Activity 5.4.3: Manufacture of automated industrial automation equipment
h. Activity 5.5: Manufacture of parts or supplies used for electronic apparatus
i) Hard Disk Drive Parts, such as, Wafer, Media / Substrate
ii) Flat Panel Display, such as, LCD Panel, OLED Panel
i. Activity 5.6: Manufacture of material for micro-electronics – IC Wafer
j. Activity 5.7: Electronic design – IC Design
k. Activity 7.12: Research and development
l. Activity 7.13: Scientific laboratories
m. Activity 7.14: Calibration services
n. Activity 7.15: Human resource development
o. Activity 7.30: Biotechnology
p. New activity: Manufacture of Advanced Ceramics

3. Environmental-friendly materials and products manufacturing which are:
a. New activity: Manufacture of Eco-friendly Chemicals
b. New activity: Manufacture of Eco-friendly Products, such as, Eco-friendly containers, Eco-friendly
plastic or polymers.

4. Mega projects-related businesses. The details will be published in the future.
5. Tourism and real estate-related businesses. The details will be published in the future.
6. High-tech agricultural material-based businesses. The details will be published in the future.

The promoted companies under this package are allowed to setup a factory in any province except Bangkok.

The above mentioned activities will be granted special investment promotion package which are:
1. Exemption of customs duty for all machines imported into all investment zones;
2. Exemption of corporate income tax for eight years;
3. 50 per cent reduction of corporate income tax for not exceeding five years;
4. Double deduction of transportation, electricity and water supply costs; and
5. 25 per cent deduction of facility installation and construction costs from net profit in addition to
general depreciation.

To obtain these privileges, a promoted company has to lodge an application within December 31, 2009. The projects, submitted to the Board since January 1, 2008, which is in the process of approval, or which was approved by the Board but still has no income, can apply for this incentive.
