With the emergence of high technology, computerisation has taken its place in almost every area of our lives as we use this technology as a convenient tool for many different applications.
However, “cybercrime” has become the fraud issue of greatest concern in the world today. We can routinely see evidence that this kind of fraud occurs via many news channels and even in on-screen alerts from banks when we do our online banking.
Because of this, on 4 April, 2013 PricewaterhouseCoopers FAS Ltd. participated in the “Academic Seminar - Standard Practices for Fraud Risk Management and Technology II”, organised by the Fraud Management Club of the, Thai Bankers' Association at the Royal Thai Police Sports Club, Bangkok. Mr. Andrew Gordon, a Partner from PwC Australia, gave the keynote speech entitled "Electronic Crime Trends and Preventive Mechanisms". - The speech was interpreted in Thai by Khun Vorapong Sutanont, a Partner of PwC Thailand.
