Job Description

We are looking for an ambitious manager to join our FFE team in Thailand. Successful candidate will be an integral part of PwC’s expanding finance business and will have the opportunity to work with a consulting team with commercial expertise and client handling skills across a range of assignments and clients. Successful candidates should have 8 years proven experience, in consultancy or working with in a well run Finance function.

Organisations are increasingly turning to PricewaterhouseCoopers for advice on how to develop their business operations to respond to new market environments and challenges. For finance functions, this means meeting the evolving needs and expectations of the business whilst maintaining effective financial control and addressing the ever-increasing regulatory requirements. FFE/Finance transformation is a key and expanding component of our business and we need to be confident that we have high performing teams of experts in place to help our clients meet those challenges across all industries.

The role is focused on the following four areas:

Finance Function Effectiveness – assessment, design, build and implementation in some or all of the following:

  • Process – design and implementation of end to end processes
  • Organisation – development of target operating model, finance structure, skills and capability, training and developments
  • Systems – determination of business requirements, system selection and development and roll out of training
  • Finance transformation – Strategic finance to align to finance to business needs and provide decision support, development of target operating models (decentralised v. shared services & outsourcing options), development business plans. Design and implementation of finance structure, job descriptions, processes, policies, procedures, relocation of functions and activities including outsourcing/ off-shoring
  • Post merger integration – synergy assessment, future state design, build and implementation.

  • Build strong and lasting relationships with clients and be responsive to client requests for input and advice
  • Display a systematic approach to issue identification, making judgments based on relevant data
  • Rigorous in applying divergent as well as convergent thinking, resulting in practical recommendations and solutions
  • Plan work effectively and efficiently on more than one project

Assisting with the development of business opportunities:

  • Understand the business, and industry, issues facing clients
  • Identify potential consulting opportunities and follow through with these
  • Obsession to win – develop winning proposals and aggressive pursuit of leads

Develop and grow the business:

  • Play an active role in raising awareness internally and externally of the FFE offerings and capabilities
  • Running firm events and forums on FFE – both internally and externally
  • Proactively engage with colleagues to build rapport
  • Committed to the development and learning opportunities of themselves and others

Job Requirement Essential

  • 8 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor degree or MBA in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or another relevant subject
  • CA or CPA qualified holder is advantage
  • Good understanding of how finance functions operate and the core activities within finance
  • Experience in design, build and implementation of finance effectiveness programmes and transformational change within finance
  • A strong commercial focus and previous success and experience in advising clients, either internal or extern
  • A proven ability to quickly identify the systems, processes and risks relevant to clients and their goals
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
