2008 has been without doubt the most difficult year for the global automotive industry since World War 2. The deteriorating economic situation is affecting also Central and Eastern European countries, which are the focus of this year’s edition of our report. In the largest markets in Eastern Europe (Russia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania) the full impact of the financial crisis is likely to be felt in first half of 2009.

Paying Taxes provides a comparison of the world’s tax systems from the point of view of a case study company. The aim is to provide insights and data, which will assist the process of tax reform and to gain a more in-depth understanding of the results.

A joint publication by the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and PricewaterhouseCoopers, Emerging Trends in Real Estate® Europe is a trends and forecast publication now in its sixth edition. The report provides an outlook on European real estate investment and development trends, real estate finance and capital markets, property sectors, metropolitan areas, and other real estate issues.

PricewaterhouseCoopers began tracking CEOs' forecasts in 2003. In last months of 2008, CEO confidence is at an all-time low. Worldwide, just 21 percent of CEOs say that they are very confident about revenue growth in the next 12 months, down from 50 percent in last year's Global Annual Survey. The survey results were released in February 2009 at the World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland.

The ‘Millennials at work’ research is part of PwC’s ongoing ‘Managing tomorrow’s people’ series and is based on survey responses from over 4,200 graduates. Individuals in 44 countries were asked to respond anonymously about their expectations of work and careers.

The 2007 PricewaterhouseCoopers Global Economic Crime Survey results - the largest study of its kind now available worldwide. In our fourth biennial survey, also 78 leading companies in Slovakia were included for the first time.
