Abhijit is the Tax Market Leader and International Tax Partner in Corporate Tax Advisory Services Group of PwC Singapore. Abhijit has more than 30 years of experience in advising, setting up and managing various cross-border complex business structures and operational models for MNCs and SMEs as they expand globally.

Areas of specialisation

Abhijit specialises on cross-border tax planning, advising on R&D and IP structure and management, incentive negotiation, M&A and resolving tax disputes.

In conjunction with various Singapore government agencies, Abhijit is also involved in promoting Singapore and Asia for global corporations which are planning to expand their business footprint in Asia Pac market. He is also actively involved in lobbying and advising/sharing views on various fiscal policies with concerned authorities.

Abhijit is a regular speaker on business and tax issues at media and other public forum and contributes articles for various journals and newspapers from time to time. He authored the IP Chapter of “The Law & Practice of Singapore Income Tax” published by LexisNexis.

Professional qualifications and memberships

Abhijit is a Chartered Accountant and a Accredited Tax Advisor (Income Tax) of Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals.

Abhijit was also an Adjunct Associate Professor of NUS and conducted many IP Tax Strategy Workshops for IP Academy / NUS. He was on the Board of Maxwell Chambers Pte Ltd (a subsidiary of Ministry of Law) which was responsible for promoting Singapore as an international arbitration centre. Abhijit also served as a Board member and Audit Committee Chairman of Intellectual Property Office of Singapore. Currently he is a Board member of World Wildlife Fund, Singapore and Council member of the Board for the Teaching and Testing of South Asian Languages (operating under aegis of Ministry of Education).
