PI Energy is a subgroup of PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Performance Improvement advisory practice. Its role is to help oil and gas companies operating in Russia and the CIS to evolve and adapt in the face of a constantly changing and increasingly complex environment. Development strategy
We work with our clients to help them evaluate opportunities in their industry, analyse competitors’ strategies and the experience of similar companies abroad, and perform a diagnostic review of the key parameters of their business (clients, products, financials, processes, organisation, IT and personnel). Based on this input, we develop a strategic vision, define the key value drivers and draft strategic development scenarios. Financial modelling is an essential component of this exercise, as it helps assess the amount of investment required and the business value in each scenario. Once a preferred option has been selected, we develop a plan for its implementation.

Corporate Performance Management (CPM)
Three complementary elements that form an integrated cycle of planning and reporting on an organisation’s activities: transparent, flexible, driver-based budgeting; multidimensional management reporting on a consistent and timely basis; and a dashboard control system with strategy-focused key performance indicators (KPIs).

Post-deal services
Working closely with our Transaction Services colleagues, we help clients to:
- Evaluate potential investments by providing operational due diligence to give acquirers/vendors a coherent overview of the business operations
- Take the first steps towards realising the potential value of their acquisition by helping them develop and implement an integrated first 100 day plan that will minimise business disruption, promote momentum, take control of the business they have just bought and integrate the new business with existing operations and
- Fully integrate the acquired business by developing, implementing and programme managing detailed action plans to deliver value from the deal.

Corporate Management Model
A set of solutions aimed at helping companies improve the management framework and organisational structure of complex holdings. These solutions include the development of Shared Service Centres (SSC), design of an efficient and lean organisational structure, and the definition of the management model and the role of the corporate centre.

Is an approach to managing organisations that emphasises sustainable and long-term increase in the enterprise value in all business activities and processes. The VBM concept has been widely adopted globally, and for energy companies VBM is generally seen as the foundation from which to drive further shareholder return with other initiatives. Our Value Based Management offering includes helping clients to develop an overall management framework / concept on how to run the organisation, to developing or harmonizing existing management tools and creating a value based mindset throughout the organisation.
