PricewaterhouseCoopers sponsored the eighth annual EEFA Conference, which was held at the Regent Esplanade Hotel in Zagreb, Croatia, on 28–31 October 2008. The conference was organised for representatives of the world factoring market and factoring-related services, and included professionals in the fields of finance, insurance, collections and others. Through in-depth analysis and case studies, the event addressed emerging challenges for the factoring market in Eastern Europe. It also revealed new industry initiatives at the local and international levels. Speakers at the event included experienced managers from the world’s leading factoring companies. PwC was represented by Chris Barrett, Partner, who gave a joint presentation with Frank Capozza, founder and managing director of Merchant Cash Express, on the possibility of credit card factoring becoming a new product.
