Business Recovery Services (BRS)

Business Recovery Services (BRS) services refers to corporate recovery and turnaround, optimised exits, insolvency/liquidation, as well as dispute analysis and investigations. PricewaterhouseCoopers was Romania's first Big Four consulting firm to develop a dedicated team of professionals specialised in business recovery and insolvency. It advises on and implements a complete range of solutions for business recovery situations, corporate bankruptcy and implementation of large-scale turnarounds for underperforming corporations. The practice has extensive experience in the management of underperforming loan portfolios, as well as in divestment of the underperforming assets of a business (optimised exits) in order to extract or preserve the optimum value for shareholders.

The Business Recovery Services (BRS) network accounts for over 2,500 experts worldwide and around 10 in Romania.

BRS entity also led the consortium that won and successfully completed the PHARE project called “Support for the improvement and the enforcement of legislation and judicial decisions on bankruptcy, Romania” having as beneficiary the Ministry of Justice. The project outcomes were: the new insolvency law, a draft best practice manual and an IT application for court insolvency files management

Transactions

Transactions refer to assistance with and executing all types of financial transactions, providing advice in mergers and acquisitions, privatizations, financial and operational due diligence, value advisory and business valuation including real estate and asset valuation, feasibility studies and business plans, market analysis, project finance (including Public-Private Partnership schemes), finance raising and post-deal services.

PricewaterhouseCoopers provides a full range of services to guide clients through complex business transactions, and supports companies through every aspect of a transaction, from identifying the appropriate acquisition or divestiture candidates to assisting with deal structuring and capital sourcing. A wide range of privatisation services including lead advisory, target identification, company profiles, analysis of privatisation options, and transaction support are available, as well as assistance and support for companies seeking new capital, or companies involved in an acquisition, divestiture, restructuring or shareholder buyout. Services in relation to transactions, such as identification and evaluation of a transaction through due diligence, structuring services, market analysis and post-deal services are provided.
