Romania 's Accession to EU by 2007 brought significant changes in the Energy, Utilities and Mining industry, already significantly transformed by recent utilities and petroleum privatizations. The Romanian legislative landscape is changing too, at a rapid pace - from the year 2003, a new set of laws is shaping this industry: a new Mining Law applicable from March 2003, a new Energy Law enforceable from August 2003, the Gas Law, applicable from August 2004 and the Petroleum Law, applicable from September 2004.
