Labour market: Working conditions

Working conditions include various factors existing in the working environment, which result, among other things, from the production process and the duties fulfilled by the employees. These factors include the environment in which the employee works, comfort, safety and work time.
Working conditions in Poland have been improving systematically since the mid 1990s. Many Poles declare that their place of work offers good conditions, which in their opinion include: the atmosphere, financial support, standard of the working facilities. However, compared with other countries of the European Union, more risks at the place of work are recorded in Poland. At the same time, in recent years, there has been a noticeable development in the area of health preventive measures and work safety. A very intense pace of work can also be observed.
