Poland: International trade

The majority of Polish foreign trade is linked to the markets of EU member states. In 2006 more than 93% of Polish exports went to EU markets. A population of 38m people offers a great opportunity for industrial and service expansion for investors. Moreover, the variety of natural resources and neighbourhood of countries also rich in resources create a favourable situation. That is why companies with foreign participation are responsible for over 60% of exports generated from Poland.

The significance of exports is highlighted by the fact that Gross Domestic Product growth is driven by this factor.
