The 2nd Edition of the "Give of yourself" Foundation Fair! The Fair was held on 8 November.
During the event, the results of the activities taken up by the Foundation over the last year were presented. These activities relate to a project entitled "I Ty możesz zostać Supermanem” (And you can also become Superman!) and other one-off initiatives. New proposals for the voluntary work being undertaken for organizations which the Foundation has now been supporting for some time were also presented.
PwC volunteers also had an opportunity to obtain news directly from representatives of five organizations about the outcome of the programmes which they were able to realize owing to the grant competition organized by the Foundation last year.
Two new projects were also proposed to employees: "Rodzin zaprzyjaźnionych" (Friendly families) and "Mentoring Starszy Brat - Starsza Siostra" (Mentoring by an Older Brother – Older Sister). The first of these programmes is designated for the involvement of families of employees who would like to help a child from a family with social and/or psychological difficulties so as to provide equal opportunities for their development and education. The second programme is aimed at supporting neglected children with their education, spending free time with them and helping widen their horizons, etc..
During these events the employees of the Warsaw office were yet again able to draw lots for letters penned by children who are in the care of organizations with which the Foundation cooperates, to Father Christmas. We handed out c. 130 letters with concrete requests!
During these events, we initiated collections of money for educational and sports classes for two children selected from two of the Foundation's partner organizations.
