Collecting tax best practices

Zbieramy postulaty podatkowe od przedsiębiorców In the latest PricewaterhouseCoopers and World Bank report analyzing the ease of paying taxes, Poland was ranked 23rd among all EU member states. In the global ranking of 178 countries involved in the analysis, Poland took 125th position.

A recent survey conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers and PKPP Lewiatan “Taxes in your company – help to improve the system” indicates that businessmen value transparency and consistency of tax law far more than the level of tax rates.

One of the ways to enhance the quality of Polish tax system is to undertake concrete tax reform. As a group contributing greatly to the state budget, businessmen have the right to express their opinions concerning current tax legislation.

Joining the effort to create a list of optimal solutions for business, PricewaterhouseCoopers launched a campaign “Collecting tax best practices”. We believe that a public debate on current Polish tax legislation and gathering ideas on amendments are crucial to improve the position of taxpayers and make the Polish fiscal system more business-friendly.

PricewaterhouseCoopers tax experts (Katrzyna Czarnecka-Żochowska, Partner and Mariusz Marecki, Director) has taken part in the meeting with “Przyjazne Państwo” parliamentary commission and presented concrete tax recommendations to support the reform of the business environment.
