Amid worsening natural disasters, there is increasing pressure to build resilient infrastructure that would not just withstand devastation but also secure the economic future of communities. The burden to rebuild stronger infrastructure, however, does not lie of the government alone as the residents and private businesses also have roles to play.
This PwC study, in collaboration with the United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UNISDR), looks into the long-term opportunity for public-private sector collaboration in building and rebuilding risk-resilient infrastructure. It also illustrates how private sector can offer innovative solutions to help communities or rebuild disaster resilient infrastructure.
