The Commissioner of Internal Revenue (“CIR”) has issued Revenue Memorandum Circular (“RMC”) No. 48-2014 (“the Circular”) dated 9 June 2014 to give ample time for all parties to comply with RMC No. 45-2014 which requires all taxpayers using machines with system-generated Machine Identification Numbers (MINs), such as Cash Register Machines (CRM) and Point of Sale (POS), to report their monthly sales using the Enhanced and Integrated eAccReg and eSales Systems.
Under the RMC, the deadline for submission of the monthly sales report for the month of May 2014 is extended until 30 June 2014 for all taxpayers concerned. Thereafter, reporting of monthly sales will remain on or before the 8th (for taxpayers whose last digit of the TIN is even number) or 10th (for taxpayers whose last digit of the TIN is odd number) day of the month following the sales period.
All taxpayers with CRM/POS machines with manually issued MIN are also hereby required to use and mandated to be re-enrolled in the eAccReg and eSales Systems on or before 1 July 2014.
