PricewaterhouseCoopers today announced the admission of four new partners to the New Zealand partnership. There are now 114 full equity partners in the firm.
PwC chairman John Shewan says the admissions are testament to the firms’ commitment to providing career opportunities for its outstanding performers, even in a tougher economic climate.
“The PwC partnership continues to grow year on year, reflecting our focus on long term business growth,” he says. “We see this latest investment in our partnership as critical to driving our continued success.”
PwC CEO Warwick Hunt says there is a high demand from businesses for new solutions to thrive in today’s economic climate.
“Our clients are looking for new and diverse ways of doing business, and our four new partners all bring a fresh perspective to the firm and to our clients. They are a very welcome addition to our experienced team.”
The four new partners are:
David Corbett (Auckland) – David is a financial risk specialist, and is a leader of services across areas including banking regulation, financial instrument valuation, and credit risk management.
Darryl Eady (Auckland) – Darryl is a tax and financial services specialist. He will add his weight to the firm’s expanding financial services practice, providing tax consulting services to multi-national banking, insurance and funds management clients.
Chris Leatham (Wellington) – Chris is a recognised expert in the taxation of property transactions. He also specialises in providing tax advice to SMEs and emerging businesses.
Hamish Bell (Auckland) - Hamish joins the firm in August from ANZ National Bank, where he spearheaded their advisory activities across the bank’s mid-market customer base. He is regarded as a leading authority on succession, governance and strategy in privately owned businesses, and will lead PwC’s expanding focus in this important area.
