Your issue: Articles imported from outside the EU

A part of the REACH regulation concerns substances in articles. Importers of articles from outside the EU also have to comply with REACH. Without registration of the substances of which these products are made, it is not legal to continue bringing them to the market. Registration obligations have to be taken care of by the manufacturer or by you, as the EU importer of the product or substance.

Furthermore, your customers have the right to request information on the substances in the products and articles you supply. Information requests from your client have to be answered within 45 days. You, as a retailer, have a reputation to lose concerning customer-friendliness and delivering quality products.
