Revenue Recognition under US GAAP

The purpose of this training is to discuss the accounting requirements under US GAAP related to recognition, measurement, and presentation of revenues.

The training will cover the following subject matters:

  • Identify the primary standards under US GAAP in accounting for revenues
  • Describe the scope of these standards – that is, what sorts of transactions do these standards apply to?
  • Highlight the key areas in which IFRS differs from US GAAP

The training will cover in depth revenue recognition US GAAP principles in a way which enables participants to:

  • Have a good understanding of generally accepted accounting principles in the United States ("US GAAP") for recognizing, measuring, and classifying revenue transactions and understand the differences and similarities in the standards
  • Interpret and apply the standard correctly while preparing US GAAP financial reporting
  • Be aware of the key differences between the standards of US GAAP and IFRS.

For whom?

This training is intended for professionals with a background in finance having a responsibility in the accounting, reporting and/or controlling area. Basic accounting knowledge and experience is required to use the knowledge offered during the training to its utmost.
