Talita is a chartered accountant (CA) and a certified internal auditor (CIA), who joined our Advisory Services practice in Windhoek in September 2012. Previously, she led her external audit team in our Windhoek assurance practise where she was responsible for leading the external audit of a number of large corporate clients. Prior to 2008, based as senior manager in Cape Town, South Africa and in London, United Kingdom, she was responsible for the external audit assignments on a number of local and international corporate and other organisations who implemented IFRS.
She has published a number of articles in a local current affairs publication on the Namibian business environment, and for web based information services, on the banking industry. She presents technical and soft skills training to both internal and external audiences, and has been invited on several occasions to speak at training events for the public sector. Talita has Namibian domicile, and is in the process of applying for citizenship. Talita has recently been appointed as the president of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Namibia (ICAN), as well as being a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
Talita has taken the lead role in facilitating a number of workshops, including training, and risk identification/evaluation, for clients in the public and private sector, and continues to provide assurance to entities on their internal control environment through leading the internal audit function.
