Dr Christina Swart-Opperman is a Director within the Human Resource Services department of PwC Namibia. She completed her Doctorate of Philosophy in 1989 and her dissertation addressed the development and evaluation of an assertiveness training program for women in management positions.

Her mini-thesis for her Masters degree in Industrial Psychology focused on Role Conflict and the Career Woman. Subjects covered in the course included Man-Power Planning, Statistics and Research Methodology, Labour Relations, Contact Counselling, Training, Social Psychology, Ergonomics and Consumer Psychology. She also obtained her BA Hons in Industrial Psychology and her BA degree (her majors were Psychology III and Afrikaans-Dutch III) from Potchefstroom University in 1980 and 1978 respectively.

With a wide range of experience gained as Namibian partner in the Management Consulting Services Practice of PwC and owner of former CO Holdings CC and KnowledgeWorx Namibia, she has had a significant impact on the Namibian business landscape. Her focus is to empower and uplift people in order to realize their potential and focus in life.

An Industrial Psychologist by profession, she is also an entrepreneur, continuously on the look-out for new challenges. Highlights in her career include starting the first-ever Human Resources consulting practice in Namibia, being the first female partner (non-audit) at PwC (2001) and being awarded the title of Namibian Economist Business Women of the Year (2002).

She has extensive experience in Human Resources Development; Organizational Development and Strategic Intervention; Recruitment and Selection; Policy and Procedural Development and Industrial Relations in both the Public and the Private Sectors.

She founded the Christina Swart-Opperman Aids Orphan Foundation Trust on 26 February 2003. The vision of the trust is to contribute towards social reform in Namibia.
