Jagdev is the Tax Leader for PwC Malaysia where he leads the firm’s Tax practice.
He has extensive experience in handling a vast variety of transfer pricing and corporate tax assignments including two years on assignment in London.
Jagdev specialises in assisting multinational companies and local conglomerates with corporate international tax planning, transfer pricing, tax audits and investigations. His work includes assisting multinationals/Malaysian listed groups in restructuring exercises, post-merger integration, and standardisation of global transfer pricing policies.
His experience in transfer pricing includes tax planning, core transfer pricing documentation, reviewing cost sharing models, developing pricing policies and representations before the local tax authorities with respect to tax audits, tax investigations, transfer pricing audits, Mutual Agreement Procedures and Advance Pricing Agreements.
He has also worked closely with a range of regulatory authorities namely, the Ministry of Finance (MOF), the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) and the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) to contribute towards the development of government policies and legislation.
Jagdev is a frequent presenter at local and foreign conferences and has authored several technical articles. Jagdev holds a Bachelors degree in Business and is a member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia and CPA Australia.
Jennifer is a Senior Executive Director with PwC Malaysia with extensive tax and financial services experience both in Australia and in Malaysia.
Her experience in Malaysia includes advising clients on tax matters relating to income tax, real property gains tax, stamp duty, service tax, applicable tax incentives and double tax treaties. She has also been extensively involved in numerous assignments for clients in the financial services and property sectors as well as structured finance, mergers and acquisitions and restructuring.
In Australia, her experience includes audit, accounting, corporate secretarial, regulatory and tax work on a range of clients and entities including financial services entities, retirement funds, business trusts, pharmaceuticals, construction companies, hotels, trading companies, etc.
She also speaks regularly at public seminars on taxation of the financial services industry including Islamic banking, asset backed securitisation, International Tax, Labuan, etc.
Jennifer holds a degree in Economics from Monash University, Australia. She is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA), a member of the Securities Institute of Australia (SIA) and International Fiscal Association.
Steve is a Senior Executive Director with PwC Malaysia with comprehensive tax experience.
He has undertaken high value tax and business consulting projects for clients in various industries including sustainability development, property development and construction, real estate investments, logistics and ports, infrastructure, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, trading, as well as education.
Steve has worked on key and challenging assignments involving various restructuring of operations, tax efficient structuring for privatisation projects, review of corporate structures to improve international tax efficiencies, cross-border transactions, remuneration structuring to achieve personal tax efficiency, regulatory and incentive applications to various government agencies, implementation of employees stock option plans, etc.
He has also participated in a number of incentive negotiations with the Government for foreign and local investors and is also a member of the Public Finance Reform Lab under the Strategic Reform Initiatives championed by Performance Management Delivery Unit (PEMANDU) of the Prime Minister’s Department.
Steve is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), United Kingdom.
Margaret is a Senior Executive Director with PwC Malaysia with extensive tax experience.
She has been involved in undertaking the corporate restructuring of companies, cross border deal structuring, due diligence reviews, negotiations with the regulatory authorities on tax matters, etc.
She has also advised clients on the income tax, real property gains tax and stamp duty implications of merger of multinationals, conglomerates, trading and manufacturing companies, and assisted in formulating and developing tax incentives for an economic region and working with the Ministry of Finance’s (“MOF”)’s officials.
Margaret holds a Bachelor of Economics (Accounting) degree from Monash University, Australia. She is also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia, the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants and CPA Australia.
Frances is a Senior Executive Director with PwC Malaysia with comprehensive experience in taxation in the areas of mergers and acquisition, structuring and tax advisory, and has advised clients on matters relating to income tax, stamp duty, real property gains tax, tax incentives and double taxation treaties.
She has also been involved in advising on mergers and acquisitions, identifying tax planning opportunities, partnering clients to develop tax-effective solutions, undertaking review and corporate restructuring of companies including applications for stamp duty and real property gains tax exemptions, cross border tax reviews and deal structuring, evaluating suitable incentives for business entities, due diligence reviews, advising on investment and tax considerations for setting up manufacturing facilities in Malaysia.
Frances holds a Bachelor of Accounting (Honours), University of Malaya. She is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and also a Fellow of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia.
Theresa is a Senior Executive Director with PwC Malaysia, with wide-ranging tax experience in advising clients in various industries including logistics, manufacturing, construction and property.
She has advised clients on matters involving income tax, real property gains tax, stamp duty, tax incentives and double taxation treaties. She has also worked on a variety of projects advising clients on inward investments into Malaysia, outward bound investments by Malaysian conglomerates and cross border structuring of these investments.
Theresa is the tax subject matter expert for merchant shipping, O & G shipping and logistics and was part of the Logistics and Services Focus Groups for the 3rd Malaysian Industrial Master Plan.
She has also been involved in corporatisation exercises involving government entities including negotiating with the Government for the tax incentive package and assisting in the drafting of tax legislation where necessary.
Theresa is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (UK), member of the Institute of Taxation (UK), the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia, and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
