KUALA LUMPUR, 16 November 2013 – PwC Malaysia has been awarded the inaugural ‘Best Service Provider for Business Continuity Management (BCM)’ by Disaster Recovery Institute (DRI) International. The award was presented at the recent DRI Malaysia 2013 Conference in Grand Millennium Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
The award recognises the best BCM service delivery in the industry, as well as the commitment in promoting business continuity to the community, and the ability to respond to the changing BCM landscape.
“Thank you, DRI for initiating these awards. They serve as both a recognition of the work that Business Continuity Management professionals have done as well as to encourage and motivate BCM practitioners to aim higher in their professional journey,” said Ong Ai Lin, PwC Malaysia Senior Executive Director, when receiving the award. “PwC Malaysia has worked with almost 50 clients over the past 13 years in the area of BCM. Receiving this award tonight is a testament to the tremendous support we have received from our clients and the BCM community over the years,” she added.
Two of PwC Malaysia’s clients also won individual awards at the awards ceremony for their contribution to the BCM industry. PwC Malaysia has been actively promoting BCM both locally and regionally through presentations at conferences as well as thought leadership articles in the press. The firm also organises BCM luncheons yearly, featuring speakers on a variety of BCM hot topics. These events serve as networking platforms for BCM professionals in Malaysia.
