Roles and responsibilities:

You will be tasked to develop e-learn packages using development tools such as but not limited to Articulate and Lectora reporting to a manager who will also function as the project manager.

Your work will require you to master the abovementioned development tools within a short period of time.

You will work with course designers who will provide high level course specifications and you will then develop the detail course design documents. You will then translate the specification into e-learn packages using Articulate or Lectora. Quite frequently, you will find yourself using a combination of different technologies (HTML, Flash, video editing software, etc.) to create the effects and functions required in the e-learns based on the requirements.

You will also be involved in maintaining the e-learn packages and producing updated versions based on changes specified by users.

This job will also challenge you to adapt to new tools and technologies including the deployment of e-learns to mobile devices such as the Blackberry, iPhone and Android-based devices.

 

Requirements:

  • Current or recent experience in developing e-learns
  • Relevant degree in IT or Multimedia Technologies or related areas
  • 3 to 5 years of working experience in a related field
  • Must be competent in the following technologies: HTML, Flash, Photoshop and Javascript
  • You will have a distinct advantage if you have the following experience:
    1. Working knowledge in SCORM/AICC
    2. Developed e-learns using applications such as Articulate and/or Lectora
    3. Developing creative multimedia software
  • Demonstrated capability in technical writing such as the following:
    1. User requirements documentation
    2. Technical/system documentation
    3. User guide
  • Resourceful and able to work independently with minimum supervision
