Framed around PwC’s 14th Annual Global CEO Survey, this CEO dialogue was themed "What future are you preparing for?" and three key themes were discussed: innovation, talent and a shared public and private agenda.

Both panellists were very passionate and knowledgeable about the topics discussed. The dialogue was not only punctuated with anecdotes from personal experience, but also compelling statistics and facts. Dato’ Sri Idris Jala 'violently agreed' with our findings, and challenged CEOs in the room to work towards unleashing talent in their respective workplaces – putting them in the right places, and letting them grow.

For the first time ever at a PwC event, attendees were encouraged to tweet their questions for the panel (@PwC_Malaysia), if they preferred not to take to the mic. There was also a team of individuals from PEMANDU and PwC tweeting live from the event.

This is an annual undertaking by PwC to survey the CEO community and understand their top-of-mind business agendas. The 14th installment of the survey was conducted in 69 countries around the world, with a total of 1,201 CEOs surveyed. It highlighted some major trends surrounding issues such as growth, innovation, talent, and a shared agenda with government on priorities.
