A half day’s workshop on ‘The challenges of implementing Basel III and Integrated Risk Management for Banks’, will be held on Tuesday 01 March 2011. The workshop will be facilitated by Mr Anton Van Wyk and Ms. Ina de Vry, both Partners of PwC South Africa.
Mr. Anton van Wyk is a global board member and previous President of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) in South Africa and was the first African to be elected to the international executive committee of the Institute. He was a member of the King III Committee that reviewed corporate governance practices in South Africa, chairing the Internal Audit task team. He also served on the South African Corporate Governance Forum.
Ms. Ina de Vry leads the firm’s Advisory Financial Risk Services practice. She has 21 years of banking experience, of which 10 years were spent with the Treasury trading, structuring and market risk management functions. Ina specialises in risk management, particular market and credit risk modelling and derivative valuations, and has led several market and credit risk model reviews for the big four banks in South Africa.
