Our Risk Assurance Services team is currently seeking to recruit experienced internal auditors to provide a broad range of solutions to our clients seeking to strengthen their internal controls and risk management assessment and monitoring processes. 

These solutions range from internal audit assurance services to evaluation and advice regarding corporate governance practices.

Profile and Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting and/or Business Administration;
  • ACCA/CIA/CISA qualification would be an advantage; and
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in Internal Audit and/or industry experience.

Career Opportunities in Business Recovery Services

Our Business Recovery Services team operates across all segments of the market providing strategic and tactical advice to lenders, creditors, companies and individuals facing challenging circumstances,ranging from financial stress through distress and to insolvency, so as to allow them to make the right decisions.

A unique opportunity has arisen for a Manager with a legal background to join our team.

Reporting to the Partner, you will be working on insolvency-related projects including liquidations, receiverships, voluntary administrations and cross-border insolvencies as well as providing advice on turnaround and restructuring solutions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Run and manage insolvency administrations;
  • Prepare and review turnaround or change plans;
  • Review financial position of clients’ businesses;
  • Perform prompt diagnostic review of current cash flow forecasting capabilities;
  • Attend court hearings, deal with technical case queries and prepare memoranda, legal documents and statutory reports;
  • Deal with cross-border insolvency issues;
  • Conduct internal and external trainings including  preparation of thought leaderships documents;
  • Grow and develop the insolvency services department locally and in the regions;Prepare presentations and/or reports to key stakeholders as per the requirements of the Insolvency Act 2009;
  • Deal with various stakeholders including creditors, solicitors and financiers;
  • Coach and develop  team members with varying levels of experience;
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel at a short notice.

Desired qualifications, skills and experience

  • Post-graduate degree in law; 
  • Practical experience (at least 3 years) in the insolvency area;
  • Well-versed with the  provisions of the Insolvency Act 2009, Companies Act 2001, Employments Rights Act 2008;
  • Exposure to complex stakeholder environments;
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and statutory requirements;
  • Ability to grasp complex commercial issues quickly;
  • Ability to present solutions in a clear and articulate manner, tailoring style to suit the needs of the client;
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a pressurised working environment;
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Self-motivated, confident and proactive; 
  • Excellent verbal and written skills both English and French;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable communicating with people at all levels;
  • Ability to manage and motivate others, with experience of leading a team.
