PwC - 20 years in Latvia

This year our firm celebrates its 20th anniversary in Latvia. Our services, staff and skills have grown significantly during this time.

In 1993, we started with less than ten staff members at Coopers&Lybrand SIA and Price Waterhouse SIA. In 1998, the two firms merged to establish PricewaterhouseCoopers SIA. A staff of over 125 professionals are now generating nearly 5 million lats in annual revenues.

These 20 years have been significant not only for our business but for our firm’s development. Over this time we have grown to realise that a business isn’t all about revenue. The basis of a successful and stable business is people, being our staff and business partners, who have been around to build our firm to what it has become today.

This is a significant year for us. We would like to mark this anniversary by not only delighting ourselves but also by doing valuable deeds for the community. We believe that a celebration is not only a massive party but it can also be the joy we give to other people. PwC’s international corporate culture embraces three core values: excellence, teamwork, and leadership. These values describe both our personal behaviour and business conduct, as well as helping create value for our clients, employees, and the firm. Throughout the year, we will be performing various activities to support the community and we will be taking part in events aimed at promoting an environmentally friendly and benevolent lifestyle.

We have a long-standing friendship with the Latvian Orphan Children’s Fund, the National Children Cardiology Centre, and the Ulubele animal shelter. We take an active part in the Big Cleanup promote an environmentally green lifestyle. We believe that together we can create more value by bringing joy and good feelings into the life of those who need it most.

There are several charity activities we are planning to participate to mark our 20th anniversary, these include Blood Donors Day (15 August 2013, 10.00 - 13.00 at Valdemara Centre), visiting the Animal Shelter Ulubele (19 September 2013) etc.
