We take part not only in careers fairs held annually at various universities but also in Shadow Day.
In 2013 we are going to take part in the following events:
Career Day 2013 at Ventspils University College
PwC profile page in the periodical for students "Veiksmes Formula"
Find the information about PwC in ‘Veiksmes Formula’ - the periodical that comes out once a year – in March- free of charge with aim to give practical advice to students how to be successful when searching for a job. We have prepared the information about the most required professions within PwC as well as the experience stories written by our colleagues.
In 2013 PwC already took part in the following events:
Guest lecture at Vidzeme University College
Our colleague from consulting department Anita Asafreja tutored a guest lecture for 3rd year students of Vidzeme University College on 9 of April 2013. She introduced students with process effectiveness.
Guest lecture at Banking School of Business and Finance
Our colleagues from Assurance department tutored a guest lecture for 3rd year students of Banking School of Business and Finance on 2 of April 2013. They introduced students with practical aspects of audit.
Career Day 2013 at Riga Technical University
PwC took part in Career Day 2013 at Riga Technical University on 21 March.
We offered several activities including:
- "PwC - Your career starts here!", a presentation by Linda Vanaga, Assistant Manager in Assurance;
- a stand where students were able to ask our team questions about PwC and career opportunities;
- PwC profile page in the employment catalogue.
Career Day 2013 at University of Latvia
PwC took part in the activities of Career Day 2013 organised by University of Latvia in March, by publishing the PwC profile page in the employment catalogue. Career Day 2013 at Banking School of Business and Finance
PwC participated in Careers Fair 2013 at Banking School of Business and Finance on 12 of February.
We offered several activities including:
- a stand where students were able to ask our team questions about PwC and career opportunities;
- "PwC - Your career starts here!", a presentation by Terēze Labzova, Senior Manager in Assurance;
- PwC profile page in the employment electronic catalogue available for Banking School students.
Shadow Day 2013 on 13 February
There’s a nice annual tradition that PwC takes part in Shadow Day. During this event students from Latvian schools have a possibility to visit professionals working for various organisations. On 13 of February we opened our doors to 10 students who became our ‘shadows’ and had an opportunity to see who we are and how we work.
