Vita Sakne is a manager in the Tax and Legal Services of PwC. She has more that 16 years experience in advising clients on the legal matters with emphasis on tax consequences. Vita started Transfer Pricing practice in Latvia and now is in charge of development of Company Group Structuring Services (incl. M&A, cross-border mergers), Pharmaceutical Advisory Group and Private Company Services within PwC Latvia.
As an experienced tax lawyer, Vita has been supplying consultation in various projects of high complexity and in situations of tax and legal effect comprising several countries, e.g.:
Vita has been regular writer for International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD) on tax and legal issues arising from transfer pricing matters during 2002-2009. Vita has been co-author of the books "Le fusioni transfrontaliere" on cross-border merger matters and "Societas Europea. Analysis of Community provisions and their implementation in the member states" on establishment of Societas Europae.
Vita has presented guest lectures on tax and legal issues for Executive MBA student programme at the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga (since 2004) and BA School of Business and Finance.
Vita is founder and the member of the board of the Tax Consultant Association in Latvia since 2001, the member of CFE (Confederation Fiscale Europeenne).
