Introduction to the Luxembourg investment fund industry for the new-hires of a major banking group

The investment unit of a large bank needed a technical training for a group of recent new-hires, covering the basics of the Luxembourg investment fund industry.

The main objectives of the programme were:

  • To assure a common basis for participants regarding investment fund concepts and terminology
  • To help the new-hires integrate into the organisation and boost their self-confidence in facing their various tasks
  • To speed up the learning curve so new-hires can contribute from the very start

Our solution approach

We used condensed training sessions of one-and-a-half days covering various aspects including types of funds, legal environment, service providers, transaction cycles, and net asset value.

The main characteristics of the programme were:

  • Interactive delivery style, actively involving the participants
  • Balancing the technical and the “integration” aspects of the training
  • Adaptable rhythm to suit the mix of participants
  • Training used to bridge a skill gap and promote company culture at the same time
