PwC’s Corporate Social Responsibility in contributing to the economic development of the country consists in actively participating in various private and governmental initiatives to promote Luxembourg.
Promoting the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg
All together we work to promote the advantages of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg.
It is for this reason that we have published “Why Luxembourg?” and “Luxembourg, a prime location for doing business”, upon request by the Chamber of Commerce. The fact that both brochures have been translated into 6 different languages – including Japanese and Chinese – is a clear indication that their contents are of interest to the marketplace. A third publication issued with the Luxembourg Stock Exchange entitled “Why Luxembourg: VAT advantages for commercial companies” completes the series.
Furthermore, PwC Luxembourg has more than 20 full time staff involved in promoting the market place by attracting entrepreneurs, investors and people to the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg.
Taking part to different initiatives
We also actively participate in initiatives undertaken by the Luxembourg government and
private sector. PwC Luxembourg participates in private initiatives – notably within the ABBL, ALFI, CSSF, “Codeplafi”, 123 GO, and FEDIL – as well as conferences (“Journée d’actualités comptables et fiscales”, “Banking Day”, …) and training initiatives (“Chamber of Commerce”, “University of Luxembourg”, …).
We also are a founding member of the “Institut pour le mouvement sociétal” in Luxembourg (IMS Luxembourg), promoting corporate social responsibility good practices.
Our attention includes the Greater Region as well. This concern guided the creation of the “Maison du Luxembourg” in Thionville and PwC’s contribution to this ambitious project has been largely recognised.
Whether it be in Luxembourg, the Greater Region or elsewhere, PwC staff and partners can be found contributing to the growth of local markets as well as the diversification and promotion of Luxembourg’s economy.
