Nick Freeland

Specialist area: Territory Senior Partner

Mr. Freeland is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. As Senior Partner of the Cayman Islands firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mr. Freeland sits on the Caribbean Region leadership team, comprising representatives from nine independent member firms.

Mr. Freeland has a wealth of international banking, trust and investment management expertise , having served many of our high profile, prestigious banking and mutual fund clients in varying capacities in both the Bahamas and Grand Cayman offices. He is one of the firm's lead investment management company engagement partners specializing in offshore mutual funds. In this capacity, he works very closely with our U.S. Firm and other firms worldwide to provide our global clientele with seamless service.

Mr. Freeland is a former President of the Cayman Islands Society of Professional Accountants and former member of the Council of the Cayman Islands Stock Exchange . He is a former President of the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman .

Mr. Freeland has 25 years of experience in offshore locations, having joined the firm in 1980 at our Nassau, Bahamas office. He became a partner in July 1991. Mr. Freeland has served many of our larger banking and investment management clients, in varying capacities, in our Bahamas and Grand Cayman offices. He is currently the lead engagement partner on Cayman National Corporation. He also serves as lead engagement partner on some of the firms largest mutual fund clients. He serves as lead engagement partner on several subsidiaries of notable Latin American banks and has developed considered expertise in issues relating to banking in Latin America and the Caribbean Region generally.
