David Walker
David is a Partner in the PwC Cayman Islands office and leads the PwC Cayman Islands Advisory practice. David is also Risk Leader for Deals & Consulting in the Caribbean region.  David focuses on corporate reorganizations, forensic investigations, solvent wind-downs, government advisory and formal insolvency appointments.

David is currently Chairman of the Cayman Islands Insolvency Practitioners Association and a council member of the Cayman Islands Society of Professional Accountants.  David is a Qualified Insolvency Practitioner in the Cayman Islands and also a Registered Australian Liquidator.  David has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICCA) since 1994, holds a ICAA practicing certificate and has been a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia since 2001.

David has over 20 years corporate restructuring and insolvency experience.  Prior to joining PwC Cayman in 2004, David worked in the Business Recovery Services divisions of PwC Australia & Canada and Ernst & Young Australia and also worked at the Australian Securities and Investment Commission in the former National Insolvency Coordination Unit. 

Over the past 10 years, David has been appointed by the Cayman Islands Grand Court as provisional liquidator and liquidator of numerous companies, been appointed Controller of banking, fund and insurance companies by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority, appointed as Inspector of companies by the Court and shareholders, conducted forensic investigations of companies on behalf of regulators, investors and directors and provided restructuring, credit and insolvency advice to banks, investors and governments.  David’s restructuring, credit and insolvency experience has given him exposure to working with clients in the Caribbean, North & South America, Asia Pacific, Middle East and UK & Europe.

David is focused on financial services industries (funds, insurance and banks) and has prior experience in Property, Tourism & Construction (including hotels), Retail, Mining, Healthcare & Aged Cared, Transport & Distribution and Telecommunications.
