Colin Hanson

Specialist area: Banking Leader and Asset Management

Colin is a Partner in our Cayman office specializing in the audit of banks and alternative investment companies. He has more than 16 years of audit experience, the last 13 of which have been with PwC Cayman. Colin is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. Colin focuses on various types of 'offshore' banks and trusts, along with local retail financial institutions. Colin’s portfolio of alternative investment companies encompasses a variety of fund structures and strategies, including a significant emphasis on North American sponsored “onshore/offshore” hedge fund products (including master/feeder fund structures).

Colin is the chairman of the Cayman office Technical Committee which specializes in the monitoring of various accounting and auditing developments, including a focus on the applicability of such developments to all types of financial institutions, including banks, and alternative investment and private equity companies.
