Simon ConwaySimon is a Partner in the PwC Cayman Islands Advisory practice and focuses on corporate reorganisations, forensic investigations, solvent wind-downs, Government advisory and formal solvent & insolvency appointments.

Simon is a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner in the UK and a Qualified Insolvency Practitioner in the Cayman Islands. Simon has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales (ICAEW) since 2002, and is a member of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3) and the American Bankruptcy Institute.

Simon has over 15 years corporate finance, restructuring and insolvency experience in the Caribbean, the UK, Europe & Scandinavia. Prior to joining PwC Cayman in 2008, Simon worked in the leveraged restructuring team of Barclays in the UK and prior to that, as a restructuring and corporate finance advisor in a Big 4 accountancy practice in London.

Simon has managed and led corporate restructuring and M&A processes, PFI advisory projects, commercial and operational due diligence, investment fund forensic investigations and inspectorships, insolvent bank & investment fund winding-up assignments, controllerships and voluntary liquidations.

Simon's more recent experience is focussed on the financial services industry (funds, insurance and banks) as well as Government advisory, and his prior experience both as an advisor and banking principal spans heavy & light manufacture, wholesale distribution & retail, tourism & hospitality, healthcare, telecoms & media, transport, pensions and primary industry.
