Work permits
Non-Caymanians wishing to enter the Cayman Islands to work must obtain a work permit before entering the country.
Permits are normally granted for a specific employer for one year at a time. Applications can take 6-8 weeks to process.
Work for spouses/partners
The firm cannot guarantee that spouses/partners will be able to obtain work permits, or guarantee or negotiate employment on their behalf.
Spouses can stay on the Island as long as their partner has a work permit, however, non-spouse partners will only be issued with a tourist visa on arrival for a period of one month. Thereafter, the visa is potentially renewable for a maximum period of six months.
