Seong-Cheon Ko has taken up on the leader of tax practice on July 1, 2011. Mr. Ko has a broad range of experience in corporate and international taxation with a particular focus on Japanese companies in Korea, transfer pricing and corporate restructuring. He joined in Samil PwC in 1985 and worked at PwC Japan(Osaka office) in 1991 and 1992.
Mr. Ko serves as a member of the Committee for Taxation System Development of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance and of the Committee of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He is also a non-standing auditor of Yuhan Foundation. Mr. Ko served as the private sector's member of the Pre-assessment Review Committee and the National Tax Examination Committee of the National Tax Service and led the Korea Academic Society of Taxation and Korea Tax Research Forum as vice chairman. He was also a member of the Advisory Committee for Research of the Korea Institute of Public Finance.
Mr. Ko holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Seoul National University and a master's degree from the university's graduate school.
