Since its establishment in 1971, Samil PricewaterhouseCoopers has been the Korean affiliate of the global PricewaterhouseCoopers organization. Samil's experienced team of partners and professionals extend the global standard of PwC services to its clients in Korea in the areas of accounting and business advisory services, tax services and management consulting services.

Samil's 250 partners and over 3,700 staff make it the largest professional services organization in Korea, more the double the size of the next largest accounting firm. For seven consecutive years, Samil has been ranked by the Financial Supervisory Service as the best accounting firm in Korea.

Samil's local strength is demonstrated by the fact that it the principal auditor of 6 of the top 10 conglomerates, 33 of the largest 100 companies and 50% of the top-tier banks in Korea. Samil supplements their strong domestic presence with a robust international training program for its professionals. Over 50% of the partners have completed long-term international business practices, including intense courses in English. Over 500 professionals have passed the United States uniform CPA exam.

Although Samil dominates the market in terms of size and experience, it organizes itself into smaller teams in order to provide a personal level of service to individual clients. Specific groups include specialization in the following industries: banking, consumer and industrial products, technology, communications, entertainment, services, government and middle-market. Samil maintains specialty teams in the areas of risk management solutions; tax structuring, consulting and compliance; and management consulting and information technology. The team structure allows Samil to share resources and knowledge firmwide when appropriate, while protecting proprietary client information.
