History

Worldwide merger between Price Waterhouse and Coopers & Lybrand forms PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) – one of the world’s biggest accounting firms with 130,000 staff in 148 countries. PricewaterhouseCoopers GHRS is established.

2004



Chuo Aoyama PricewaterhouseCoopers HRS Co., Ltd. is formed after a spin off from Chuo Aoyama Audit Corporation (business development HR solution team) in August 2004.

Name is changed to PricewaterhouseCoopers HRS Co., Ltd.

Shinya Yamamoto Shinya Yamamoto
Shinya graduated from Keio University (Faculty of Science and Technology, Department of Administration Engineering) and joined Epson (currently Seiko Epson) in 1985. After obtaining an MBA from Illinois University in 1990, he went on to become a Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers GHRS in 1999 and at Chuo Aoyama Audit Corporation (business development HR solution team) in 2002, before taking the current role from 2004. Shinya is also a representative member of Japan Society for Human Resource Management.
Yutaka Wakabayashi Yutaka Wakabayashi
Yutaka graduated from University of Tsukuba (College of Social Sciences, School of Social Psychology) and joined Hitachi in 1986. After gaining experience in HR and corporate planning, he joined Deloitte (Human Capital Consulting division) where he became a Partner in 2000. Yutaka has been at PwC HRS since 2007 and has extensive consulting experience in HR as well as outside of HR domain, which includes business strategy, business recovery, group restructuring, M&A, globalization support, etc. He has held multiple roles to support government-related projects, published magazine articles and also appeared in various seminars.
