Tokyo, 6 March 2012 - PricewaterhouseCoopers Aarata has appointed Koichiro Kimura as its new Chief Executive Officer at the General Meeting of Partners held on 5 March 2012. Kimura will formally assume the position as of 1 June 2012, succeeding current Chief Executive Officer, Koji Hatsukawa. Hatsukawa’s term expires on 31 May 2012.
New Executive Officer appointments will be announced shortly after decisions have been made.

Koichiro Kimura has been involved in numerous US GAAP and J-GAAP financial statement audits, primarily involving clients in the technology, entertainment, and shipping industries. While on tour in Chicago, Kimura was mainly engaged in audits involving clients in the auto sector. He also engaged in accounting system implementation projects. In addition to XBRL Japan activities, he had been a committee member on XBRL with the JICPA for 3 years. Kimura is currently a member of the PwC Global Assurance Leadership Team, representing Japan.
